Master Plan Tourist Attraction and Resort Complex. Stage 1: Actventure Waterpark: a 1ha Waterpark with approved operating hours of 9am - 9pm 7 days a week, boasting 20+ integrated waterslides, swim up bar and food kiosks, ample day beds and cabanas for hire, merchandise store, plus associated play/arcade facilities plus fast food and dine in options to service the Waterpark and Resort. Invigorate Resort: A 4-star resort targeted to families primarily from the Queensland drive market as well as interstate travellers. Includes 159 Villas (1-, 2- and 3-bedroom options) and resort amenities (cafe, lounge, sports club). Associated Retail: Retail shops, food and drink outlets (including microbrewery) and other commercial uses will be established to support resort and waterpark patrons, operations, the local catchment and drivers by. Stage 2: PerfectSwell Wavepark: the Sunshine Coast wave/surf pool, expected to cost $40 million, will use the same technology as surf pools currently operating in Shizunami, Japan, and in the United States at Waco, Texas, and The DreamWorks Water Park in New Jersey and will be an Australian debut for PerfectSwell®. The Japanese facility hit the spotlight as an official training venue for the Tokyo Olympics. Extension to Resort: Stage 2 will include an additional 75 resort villas with 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom options. Once fully operational, it is estimated that Actventure, Invigorate Resort and PerfectSwell® will support about 320 jobs, with many suited to young people, and offer over 650 car parks.

Surf Life Saving QLD

ADAMS + SPARKES Town Planning are proud to be assisting a growing number of Surf Life Saving clubs who are maximizing the use of their space and assets to further benefit their members and the greater community. SLSQ has 57 established surf lifesaving clubs with members patrolling 8,000 kilometres of the Queensland coastline from Port Douglas to Rainbow Bay. SLSQ Clubs in Queensland play a crucial role in safeguarding beachgoers, educating the community and fostering a sense of community engagement. Their iconic presence contributes to the well-being of both residents and tourists, making the beaches a safer and more enjoyable place for everyone.

Caloundra Golf Club

Approved | Extension to existing Clubhouse. The new building will be used for activities directly associated with the golf club, including the installation of new indoor golf simulators. The indoor golf simulators will allow members to practice their golf skills year-round, regardless of the weather.

Car Parking Station | Maroochydore CBD

Childcare Centre: Mooloolah

Child care centre designed to suit the rural town character or the Mooloolah Township is proposed to be suitable for 88 children under the age of 8 years of age. The centre will offer full-service facility with five (5) activity rooms, sleep room, staff breakroom, laundry, kitchen, storerooms, reception/office areas, three (3) children’s bathrooms and one (1) staff bathroom, as well as 618m2 of outdoor playscape area.

Car Parking Station, Mooloolaba

Adams + Sparkes Town Planning formed part of the project team for Sunshine Coast Council’s Car Parking Station, located at Brisbane Road, First Avenue and Smith Street, Mooloolaba. The Car Parking Station presents a significant urban renewal project and forms a key component of Sunshine Coast Council’s car parking strategy, providing a total of 706 car parking spaces and 54 motorcycle/parking spaces delivered over eight (8) storeys. The car parking station provides a modern built form that takes cues from the environment and history of the Sunshine Coast and provides ground-level commercial tenancies, which integrate with the Mooloolaba Hospitality precinct.

Lifepointe Church, Buderim

This project involved a proposed expansion to an existing church facility located in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast. The project a significant upgrade to its internal layout and external façade and entry points, to make a huge improvement to both the functionality and architectural appeal of the exiting building.

Palmwoods Early Learning Centre

Child Care Centre with the capacity to care for up to 75 children, of various ages from infancy, through to five (5) years of age who enjoy a scenic bushland back drop.

Sunshine Coast Equine Hospital

In a Sunshine Coast first, this Equine Care Facility will provide high-end observation (inclusive of X-Ray), as well as surgery + quarantine facilities, with emergency 24/7 access.

Deebing Heights Early Learning Centre

A Child Care Centre to accommodate up to 112 children, ranging from 0 - 36+ months. Twenty one (21) full-time staff will be required to operate the Child Care Centre. At ground level, there are six (6) separate activity areas, with ancillary facilities (e.g. storage, laundry, bathrooms, kitchen etc and proposed for the upper level - a training area and ancillary kitchenette, bathroom and office.

This redevelopment involved additions and alterations to the existing clubhouse, playing greens and the inclusion of a new commercial building. The project comprises three (3) stages and a land resumption by DTMR for road widening purposes along Brisbane Road.
